American Fibertek manufactures and markets over 2000 products providing Video, Audio, and Data transmission solutions for a wide variety of security and communication applications. A product selection this large, offers many products regardless of the frequency of day-to-day application. Additionally, many products that perform the same function have evolved over time and are supported because of legacy issues. Selecta-Link is a distillation of these 2000+ part numbers. It offers solutions the most common video, data, & audio applications and attempts to assist the systems designer in most new applications. These products are in most cases the latest designs using state of the art manufacturing procedures. An additional and significant benefit to Selecta-Link is the ability to ship from stock most of the products listed in the catalog.

Legacy issues, infrequent applications, and/or a preference for another AFI product may dictate that you choose a product not listed in Selecta-Link. AFINETY System Remote Diagnostic Status Monitoring System

AFINETY System remote diagnostics and status monitoring is a method for system administrators/users to access fiber optic system operational information from a network computer. Major system performance parameters are gathered on each device, a central processor (RD-20D) polls each one in succession forming tables of data. A user interface is provided via a web browser to allow system states to be displayed in a user-friendly manner. System performs automatic checking on each sub rack plugin card for alarm conditions including overheat, power supply failure, optic or video loss, and on detection of an alarm closes a contact and transmits an email to a preprogrammed notification address.

An ethernet port is provided which may be connected either to the global Internet, a local network, or a dedicated monitor computer. The main controller unit presents a GUI interface which can be accessed by a standard web browser. A text-based management interface can be accessed either by a RS232 port or a Telnet link over the Ethernet connection.
