AXIS

Axis 241 S or 241Q Video server on MPEG4

Make sure you have firmware version 4.30 or higher, or MPEG4 will not work.

BARIX

How to configure a BARIX Barionet in Pilot

In the Barix Barionet software (in browser window) make sure you have the command port specified. (choose, for example port 5000)

This port should be specified within the Pilot Software. Make sure you have defined the value '0' (zero) in the 'Disconnected tout' textbox.

BOSCH

Bosch PTZ with VIPX

To make PTZ working on VIPX, it's important to use the RTS (TxD-)and RXD (RxD+) ports. Set the camera id (VIPX: Settings>Interface settings>COM1) of the VIPX one value lower, than the address shown in the camera.

Example:
Camera shows:
SPECTRA 3
P ADDRESS: 10
D ADDRESS: 9
COM 4800 N 8 1

Inside the VIPX you want to use the Pelco P protocol:
So set the camera ID as: 9

Special configuration needed to make a VIPX or Dinion available in Pilot.

To make sure your VIPX is working correctly in Pilot, note that the following configurations have to be made inside the VIPX webconfig.

Make sure you have the Firmware version 50500200 installed.

DON NOT INSTALL BOSCH MPEG ACTIVE X CONTROL!!!
This will overwrite the Pilot MPEG4 encoder and will result in having no view.

In settings/encoder settings/MPEG-4 encoder make sure that one stream is supporting CIF and the other is supporting 4CIF.

By doing that, both CIF and 4CIF become available in Pilot.
Note that the I-frame distance must be set to, for example; 32.

In network settings select  "AUTO" as ethernet link type.

PIXORD

Pixord MPEG4 configuration in Pilot

Note that the camera shows video on a RTSP port. Although to configure the video-server in a browser you have to use the http port. This RTSP port from the Pixord setup is the port that should be configured in Pilot.

SONY

No image from Sony camera

If your Sony camera is showing a black screen only, make sure that the video mode is the same in both Pilot and the camera itself. So if you want to use MPEG-4, the video mode in Pilot should be set on MPEG-4 and in the Sony camera also.

My Sony camera's suddenly stop functioning.

The firmware of the camera could be out of date. Sony had a problem with cameras not responding within 50 days. This problem was known until version 1.03 of the Sony firmware. Any later version should solve the problem.

SNC-Z20N SNC-Z20P SNC-RZ30N SNC-RZ30P problems
